Full high school rules. College scouts attend DFW tournaments and showcases at this age. PBR (Prep Baseball Report) runs ID events at Denton Ryan, Weatherford College, and TCU. The distinction between playing to compete and playing for college exposure becomes a real fork. Most players at this level have been in select programs for 5+ years and are making deliberate choices about how hard to push over the next two seasons.
Pitching rules: Full high school rules.
Field dimensions: 90-foot base paths, 60 feet 6 inches from mound.
Commitment: Select: year-round commitment. Many players participate in both school and club programs.
Cost range: Select: $5,000-12,000 per year including travel.
