The last year before rules expand toward high-school dimensions. Base paths range from 70-80 feet depending on the organization; some 12U leagues introduce full leading off. Perfect Game and Five Tool run 12U showcase events in DFW, and this is the first age where player performance starts appearing in scouting databases. Families with high school baseball ambitions need to be thinking about those decisions at this age.

Field dimensions: 70-80 foot base paths depending on organization, 50-54 foot mound.

Commitment: Select: 3-4 practices/week, 15-20+ tournament weekends/year.
